Default Hatch Adjustment on Avant

I figure this should be pretty straight forward, but want to see if anyone else has done this before I get into it. My B6 Avant's hatch is beginning to get a little difficult to close, especially if I try to shut it too firmly. The hatch itself operates as it should, it just doesn't catch the hook occasionally; I hear the lock(?) itself resetting each time I open the hatch (it's electric), so that seems to be OK. I assume that the strike plate or something similar has moved slightly and thrown everything out of alignment - any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's the striker plate thats adjustable or the lock itself... do you have a repair manual handy?

My manual isn't immeadiately available (long story). I'll be picking it up shortly, but had some time over the next couple of days to look into the problem, so if there are any quick answers out there, great, otherwise I'll post one myself when I'm up and running with ebahn again and get this thing adjusted.

Used to see an RS4 parked occasionally on Ontario street when I was out for a run - wasn't you by any chance?
