Clunking noise B6 A4

Re: Clunking noise B6 A4
i had a similar problem like this and its fixed...
all you have to do is take of your wheel off and make sure everything is sitting properly and tight.
i noticed when i had the problem, the slightest bump on the road i would hear a clunking sound. At first i thought it was the control arms decided to go bad so soon after having it only for 3 weeks. I started to realize that i would hear the clunking sound if im not pressing on the brakes.
so i tested by going on the same bump that would give me a clunk, then later run across the same bump at same speed but with my brakes depressed..eureka, the sound could not be reconstructed again.
bought some new pads just incase, pulled out the wheels and brakes. install the new pads, install calipers back on. i wiggled it just in case if its loose. put the wheels back on and did a test run...problem solved...
also one thing to make a note of...if those wheels are not tighten properly, your rotors will be loose and may give you the same clunking sound.
*just another note. i knew it had to be the brakes cuz i would hear one click when i press on the brakes from a slow speed. i can only imagine something loose there by the brakes or rotors.
