I am trying to buy apr chip used in 2003 audi a4

is it possible to use that chip in 2004 audi a4?

cuz 03 is 5spd and 04 is 6spd so...

let me know if anyone knows

doesn't matter if 5 or 6 speed. what matters is the Bosch number of the ECU.
get me both Bosch numbers and I can tell you if they are compatible.
Bosch number starts with 0261.....

i figured that they start with 8E0 and finish with af (03) and ak (for 04).

damn... but what is 0261 means?

this is the chip I want to get, but prob wouldn't fit....I donno

Check the picture/Sticker under BOSCH. That's the number you have to compare.
Looks like 0261207943
That's not your only problem. If you'd like to get the whole ECU it wont work at all because of the immobilizer !!!
Come by during the day at Keele and Eglington and I'll check your car.

ya more then likely it wont work, like ice said, if you do get the ecu, you then have to have the emoblizer programed....i dont know what the used ecu is going for but its a safer bet just to buy a new one. Also if you choose to upgrade at a later date, if the ecu does not match the car, you will have to pay for the whole thing.

I can transfer the immo settings from one to another ecu if you want to go this route.

From what I heard with REVO is if the Immobolizer is touched, the flash is lost.

Is this true?
