A4 B6 S-Line Detail in Brilliant Black

I got this car on the weekend, it came to me in decent shape but had a good amount of swirls and light scratches. Black cars are always fun , I love the Audi "brilliant black" it usually turns out nice with great depth.

Exterior

Degrease wash exterior
Wheels, cleaned full rim
Sealed the rims
Rubber sealant on tires
Claybar treatment
Rubber conditioner applied to all door seals and exterior vinyl
Clear bra was scratched, light polished only
Went with a med polish for exterior,
followed by a light polish to jewel the paint for more gloss.

Carnauba wax on the exterior paint
Bumper got a more durable wax
clear bra got a paint sealant
headlights got a paint sealant
Windshield got a glass sealant
exhaust tips polished

Interior - No pics, ran out of time.

leather- cleaned then conditioned, then leather protectant applied
dash/ door panels/ instrument panels/ steering column cleaned, then vinyl with uv protectant applied
doors/door jambs/ running boards waxed
vacuumed
carpet shampoo/water repellent applied to carpets.
glass cleaned and polished

Nice work on the detailing. So nice to see scratch free black. I've been begging my neighbor to let me detail his black A4 1.8 which is all scratched and hazy. He just doesn't seem to care.

 

Thanks, You should do a test panel for free and show him the difference. Most people just don't fully understand the process and how good their car could look.

Can you tell me what you use to polish exhaust tips? They are partially visible in one of your pics and look great. I got some Nevr-Dull but it doesn't seem to help much, or maybe I am not using the correct applicator for it.

Love being in Alberta. No need to soil the look of my grill with superfluous plates

 

Make sure you clean the tips first, not sure what you have available, you can either use an abrasive polish and a mf or cloth, then any metal polish should shine it up after cleaning. Try 3m metal polish.

Agreed, The front plate is definitely an eye sore..
