Brake Calipers Sticking - Service or Replace
Hi Guys,
Please excuse my lack of technical knowledge. My car just went through a full set of front and rear pads in 18 months. My car is in at a mechanic that I know and trust (not the Audi dealer I usually go to). Apparently my calipers are not "fully releasing". My inner front pad is cooked, and my rear pads are fully cooked.
So here's the question. Can calipers be serviced or am I looking at getting 4 new calipers.
My car is an 04 A4 3.0 6spd Quattro with 85Km's on it.

Re: Brake Calipers Sticking - Service or Replace
they can be serviced! However there is a downside sometimes they are not serviced equally (not poor service but for a lack of a better word!) and you end up with one side using less and one more and uneven breaking. I am not sure how the audi calipper is setup but if the sliding bolts can be removed and replaced then you are g2g!
