APR Stage 1+ ECU Upgrade
I've been reading around the site about ECU upgrades, I've sort of got myself set on the APR Stage 1+
Has anyone done Stage 1+?
Did you get DV and injectors APR as well, or could you suggest something better?
Here's my baby!

Re: APR Stage 1+ ECU Upgrade
Stage 1+ on the B6 1.8T requires injectors since the stockers are near their duty cycle limit. The injectors always have to match the tune; and, APR uses 386CC injectors, which are the stock 225HP TT units. I sold my used set for I think $150, and you can find them for around that price on several forums (Vortex, Audizine, etc.). Use the money I just saved ya' to buy a downpipe or full turbo-back

I agree with Cheeba, and would rather go full turbo back over cat back if i had the money/time lol. Also APR stage 1 + is 386CC as stated above, also you will need to replace your DV for the stock one will fail.

Re: APR Stage 1+ ECU Upgrade
How important are the injectors in running Stage1 conversion. I did full software upgrade I,II,III K&N filter, and replaced DV for significant gains (stock one had eventually failed). Are performance gains substantial w Injectors? or is this more of an optional upgrade? appologies do not quite understand the science behind this one and how they function! Is it just a better mist? or more fuel to match the turbo pressure-boosted air??

Re: APR Stage 1+ ECU Upgrade
Not important at all if your running stage 1, if you were running stage 1+ then they are required. If you ran bigger injectors while still reflashed with stage 1 you will run rich and your car will run like poo.
