This is my first winter with my 2004 A4 Avant, and I am curious about something.

The rear defrost seems to be working properly on the rear hatch window, but can anyone tell me if it is supposed to be connected on the rear cargo area windows?

I can see the wires in the rear side cargo windows, but am not sure if they are supposed to be for the defrost circuit, if they are the rear window glass break sensors, or if those are the antenna's that are built into the windows?

Can anyone answers this for me before I start cursing my car for having yet another thing I need to repair on it?

By the way, as frustrated as it may make me, I do enjoy driving this car more then any of my previous cars.

Thanks for that link, glad to hear that they aren't broken but at the same time, its unfortunate that they aren't actually defrosters!
