Default 2003 Audi A4 Tiptronic - Brake Light Switch - Gear Recognition

Symptoms: (Fault Codes shown below)

- Randomly (I believe when brake pedal pressed) the ESP comes on (yellow exclamation mark enclosed in a triangle and surrounded by a circular arrow)

- Engine Bogs down in Drive when nearly coasting at around 50-60km/h.

That's all the symptoms, could it be the brake light switch that is causing the ESP light to come on and throw a "Gear Recognition Signal"? I don't know if the brake light switch could cause this gear recognition signal to be thrown. If so, then I will replace the 10$ part but if not that leads me to this next solution...

or

could it be the the transmission wiring connection that is corroded and needs to be replace and/or cleaned and filled with some dielectric grease?

What makes more sense? (if needing more addresses let me know, I can post all, just these three seem the most important)

I have reset all codes, these are the two that come back after a 5 - 60 minute test drive. Sometimes it doesn't come on at all, but it seems to be getting progressively worse now. Used to only come on weekly, then daily, and now its usually every time I drive.

I had a faulty brake light switch, my ESP light would randomly come on (not only when pressing brake), and my brake light was always on. My car wasn't throwing any error codes though, but i replaced the brake light switch, and my brake light of course worked regularly again, and my ESP light never came on again!

I had my esp light come on all the time when I would press the brake in my car and it was the brake light switch, no symptoms other than esp light would come on. I think you are chasing 2 problems here, the brake light switch from the dealer cost me under $10 and they fail all the time and is easy to change yourself so I would start there.
