[Warning, dumb & easy question] What is this?
Please, just tell me what is it supposed to contain in the lower right corner, with the green cap?
On an Audi 2002 A4.
Take a look at this sample picture I found on the net.
Mine is totally empty (bought the car this way) and for obvious reasons, would like to fill it up with (not sure what it is, double question!) "mineral oil".
Thanks and do not laugh

Re: [Warning, dumb & easy question] What is this?
It should say on it "use only mineral hydraulic fluid" If thats the case then its the power steering fluid and if you unscrew it there is a dip stick in it.
Please confirm?
Maybe there is a mechanic out there that can also confirm.

Okay, thanks that's I wanted to be sure. Indeed, I confirm that I saw "use mineral fluid somehting something".
That leads to my last question, is an Audi's power steering fluid different that the one we see in each and every garage?
Thanks !!

Simply for reference Audi has replaced their OEM G2000 (green) with newer G4000 (brown). The packaging says the two can be mixed although personally I always flush out the old and install the new.
