White Smoke SPEWING!!, Engine Has No Power, Any Suggestions?
I parked my car during the day, meeting a friend to travel to school (next city over). I was in a hurry when i got back and didnt let my car warm up too long(Its minus 12 degrees celcius here). When i took off with my car i noticed it had hardly any power and was billowing white smoke out of my exhaust. All the way home it steadily got worse (less engine power, more and more white smoke etc.) Does anyone have any suggestion as to why my car is acting like this?

Do you have a 1.8t? If you do it sounds like a seal in the turbo let go, no need to replace the engine, maybe just the turbo. When you say spewing, do you mean so bad you couldn't see the car next to you at the lights?

possibly a seal on the turbo. White smoke usually a sign the turbo is going out as well.
If you start hearing noises then its probably the turbo.

Problem FIXd'!!!! No white smoke coming out tho, But we hookd a ob2 and diagnosed the problem. Failure in p0304. Meaning Power train - Combustion - 4th coil. Got it replaced, real e z to do. We also found out that my ignition harness was corroded. Fixed it up, and CEL was takin off.

Someone made a comment about warming up the turbo.
Because this is my first turbo'ed car, can you pls explain?
My nature is that I don't go pass 3000RPM until my temp comes up to regular temp (even though theoretically it's when it starts moving). I assume that is sufficient? Thanks!
