Adjustable suspension, brakes, limited slip differential, tires. . . all things I would upgrade before playing with the motor.

Well, I should say that preventative maintenance will help - replacing the timing belt etc.

Thank you Spencer for quick answer I See.

I'm thinking that the machine is running well. Its was purchased from the German. Recently retracing from a trip to Norway with her. About 2000 kilometers total. Goes as before but max speed is only about 190km/h maybe because of strong winds. Of course, I want more recent, but still love it. I think Audi is the Audi. I Not recognize any Renault, Peugeot, Citroen. exept new
tyres is nokian 205/55
Of the engine's belt not know, but recently changed oil and filters, cabin air, fuel, air filter, oil filter

Just wanted more power, but improve the suspension is a good idea.

Stroke knows the deal: suspension mods >power mods!

That said, you're not going to get anything more than a meager amount of power out of the Naturally-Aspirated (NA) 1.8 20V without spending some serious cash. You'd be much better off finding a used 1.8T engine to swap in. And an air intake will get you no measurable gain on your engine.

For the record, NA bolt-on engine mods = headers, exhaust, cams, tune, intake manifold.

thats not gonna do anything. Natural Aspirated engines wont do much change with those types of "upgrades", specially a 4 cylinder.

Well chip is about +11 hp and air intake maybe +8. So why its not do anything?

chip 1.8 20V 125 :
before 125 hp 170 NM
after 136 hp 201 NM

Those are optimistic numbers. Numbers do add, but maybe not in the real world. I once wanted to chip my N/A V6 30V and would lie to myself just so I feel more confident in buying a $200 chip. I do have a drop in K&N filter, for the sake of not having to replace it so often.

Jeremy's got the idea. You can just cosmetically do upgrades. These cars can look impeccable when done with class.

Okay thanks. And how that engine with filter? But you have to remember clean it. That engine is even better than 1.8t 110kw i think.
