Default Tire Pressure

I've looked through older posts and couldn't find the specific tire pressure needed for my 2001 A4 1.8T. There was one regarding the tire pressure of Q5s, but I'm not sure if it's the same.

My rear tire on the passenger side kept leaking air because I somehow lost the nozzle cap. I just noticed this and took one of my bicycle.

Now what I'm wondering is: What pressure should my tires be at during the summer? Considering the weather here in Victoria either involves dry or wet roads due to rain.

Not sure where it is on your Audi but most cars have a chart in the drivers door jamb listing proper tire pressures. If not, then it will for sure be in the manual. I run mine at 34psi for what it's worth. As for the leak, a lost valve stem cap shouldn't cause a leak. All it does is keep dirt and water out of the valve stem.

The valve cap won't stop the air from escaping, that is the job of the valve stem. If you suspect the valve stem is leaking, spit on your finger and hold it on the end of the valve stem (with the cap removed) and if it is leaking, it will blow bubbles. If the valve stem is not leaking, the tire may have a hole in it or the tire may be leaking at the wheel bead in which case it will need to be removed for cleaning. Good luck with that.

I don't believe it's the valve stem, so I put on the spare tire yesterday (which had almost the same profile and exactly the same rims except perfectly clean, to my surprise) and it'll be taken to the nearest tire shop.

Hope it isn't too expensive....

Thanks for your guys' help,

I have this same issue, with my tire presure running low, but thats because the winter tires i have are soooo bad. Every time the tempreture drops below -10 one of my front tires went flat.
