Default Throttle Position - Air Intake

I do not have a problem with the throttle position, since I drilled a hole in the air intake box, and inserted a screw to avoid the "wild air" flow.

Once a month I take the screw out and spray wd 40 inside.

Works for me. Easy starts, lots of power, immediate acceleration and no hesitation.

i really hope no one does this. WD 40 will plug up a paper air filter, it will dirty your MAF sensor, and it is not like spraying ether into a snowblower, as WD is not even really flammable.
this is not a good idea!

Hey!!

"Troll....
a "troll" is not a grumpy monster that lives beneath a bridge accosting passers by, but rather a provocative posting to a forum intended to produce a large volume of frivolous responses. The content of a "troll" posting generally falls into several areas. It may consist of an apparently foolish contradiction of common knowledge, a deliberately offensive insult to the readers of the forum or a broad request for trivial follow-up postings."

I thought the whole purpose of these forums were to help one another with questions and answers, not misleading/confusing others and outright wasting peoples time (Ho rhymes with go) who are looking to learn from others experiences and "knowledge"?

There are those who just drive AUDI to work and those who want to experiment and get the most out of it. I do not think that post about K&N Filter is frivolous in any way. I wanted to see if other people use it and what is there experience. K&N filter is a lifetime filter that is cleaned in liquid and dumped in oil before installation.
It conducts 3 times more air than the conventional filter. It must be kept wet all the time.

And this ... if we were to go with the common knowledge and not experiment we would be still living in caves!

I too at one time considered purchasing the K&N, but after much research decided against it. First off NOTHING is lifetime. Below is an interesting read about filters. I personally choose to use the OEM filter and change it more frequently. Please note that the K&N does not provide better performance as advertised.
