Symptoms of a Coolant Temperature Sensor failure???
Hey guys,
I have an 01 A4 B5. I've read that a failed coolant temp sensor oe ECT can cause quite a bit of problems with drivability. Do any of you guys know the symptoms for such a case?
My car has a vibration problem when idling in drive as well as poor gas mileage and loss of power (I have a previous post about this). What leads me to believe it might be the coolant temp sensor after reading about it, is that my temp gauge does not work at all (not erratic) and my coolant res is slowly depleting.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Jason

Yeah it could potentially be misfire since it's starting to act more sluggish when switching gears in auto and on acceleration. But Audi recently scanned my car and they didn't mention any misfire codes. Only a lean code came up as well as a secondary air injection code.
