Re: So here goes -- slow but steady I hope!!
So I will be still porting the head and stuff and looking for a good used upgrade turbo or even a stock one if I can't find an upgrade for the right price.
In the meantime while I am paying off my lawyer I will just drive it and tinker on lil stuff before I sell it to buy a manual car. This I think will be better than messing around with doing a tranny swap and stuff. Also it will allow me to save money and get the right parts for the manual car I will eventually have.

There is no reason to port an AEB head on the stock turbo! The head will far outflow any near-stock size turbo, so you will get no gains here. Pumping losses may go slightly down, but it would be very difficult to measure, let alone notice it. As crappy as VAG heads flow stock (and you have the AEB, which is much better than all the other heads), modifying the head/valves is pretty much pointless on anything smaller than a GT28 frame turbo.

So pretty much I should just put it back to stock and sell it. Don't waste time and get the car I really want to play with. Done Stock turbo being shipped as of tomorrow and head going back on in stock form. My friend will pay me 4000 for the car once I fix the windshield and a couple dents and get it running sweet again. Looks like I'll be getting my 5spd car sooner than I think

Yeah, as I said earlier, the best thing you can do before modding is to have a realistic goal and just do exactly what you want to accomplish in the end. Nearly every guy who heavily mods will tell you that they wasted countless dollars and time with a series of half-measures to get to where they are today.
Looking forward to seeing you get a manual so you can get this beast built!
