OK to get some input I emailed the mechanic and he says that when you tap the gas pedal the voltage on the sparkplugs goes from 30,000 to 60,000. Therefore better spark.

When I tap on gas it does not change the gear, because you need to do it fast, so there is no downshifting involved. This is not for direct injection owners as I think the extra gas accumulates in the manifold and stays there for 30 seconds, making the car more powerful.

I am not nuts, I just now that it works. Last vacation I was fully loaded going 15 km distance uphill in some national park in BC after a one passenger Lexus at 180. We were kind of at even, but when I tapped the gas the A4 started moving forward untill Lexus gave up. I had 2 passengers and 100 kg in the trunk.
He probably though 180 was fast enough. Double the limit is just stupid dude. Now, that's not to say I haven't done it every once in a while on some deserted piece of highway here in AB. But I still think afterward..."That was stupid...but kinda fun"

Yes it was on Rogers Pass coming back to Alberta, uphill for 15 kliks 4 way highway and now they raised the speed limit to 110 km/hr

BRAVO BC! - unheard of eh..

The Lexus was brand new and the guy looked like just went for the weekend to BC and was coming back. Wanted to test the vehicle.
You know to tell you the truth I just wonder what was done to my car as I bought it second hand and it was refurbished by my mechanic. The original records show that when the car was new it was an automatic with cloth seats. When I bought it had leather seats and it is a standard. The exhaust is custom and straight through. I wonder what else could have been done to it, so it is a beast as it is. It is supposed to be 190 hp, but is far away from that. Do you know this higway to Radium? I drive it and these mountains just move up and down in the windshield as I am flying...

There is very little on the road that can pass me. What can pass me is RS4, 911 only on straight road and this is pretty much it.
I wonder how to check it in terms of computer chips and so on.

I thought I was buying just a used car, but it turned out to be some rocket and therefore I decided to keep it and I replaced almost everything in it but not the engine yet. I never thought I could be so emotional about a car and that ever in my life I would own this kind of monster.

I think of it this way.. everybody does something that is wrong like drugs, drinking and driving, divorcing you name it. My vice is speeding and I accept it.

Too bad your not in Ontario. You could join us for race night and take on some of our S4 members.

S4 is faster than my car. The difference is 2 meters every 3 seconds.

If you need more power, prior to passing another vehicle tap your accelerator all the way down quickly 3 to 5 times, than pass.

The car will be in different mode for approx 30 seconds.

I do not know why and what, but it works.

All this speed talk is making me miss working for a Porsche race team! Getting into a GT2 twin turbo makes my audi look like a slug.

few pics of my memories. And yes, we also had ferrari's

Now if we want to talk about real racing.. lets chat! lol
