Oil cooler????? 1.8t A4
Okay so has there been issues with oil coolers failing causing oil to get into the anifreeze?
I have an 98 Audi A4 1.8t Q and have totally worked the head (pressure tested also), changed the turbo and am still getting oil in the coolant. The only thing I think would be the oil cooler??? I have a new one ordered and will pressure test the old one.
My thought is I have 50-60psi oil pressure when it's running and is pushing into the coolant system which is only maybe 18psi. When the car is shut off there is no oil pressure but still have coolant pressure which then pushes into the crankcase. = to me oil cooler!!!! Wish I figured this out before doing the head< fingers crossed. I'll keep ya posted.

Found problem... oil cooler failed. Leaking internally and the seal was shot as well as the nut was finger loose. No external oil leak thou.
Oil cooler was ordered and in the next couple days should be all good to go for a steam flush at a rad shop

Yup, coolant in the oil is either the oil cooler or the head gasket. Glad you found it, but if your oil was significantly diluted for any appreciable amount of KM, I would pull the pan and check a few main bearings for wear. If you were losing much lubricity, the oil film on your bearings will start to break down and cause direct contact with the crank journals.
