Need HELP Quick!
Hi Guys,
I just got this 2001 Audi A4 1.8T with 146000KM Yesterday. I went to go do emissions and the car is giving soooo much smoke from the exhaust. I dont know what to do, I just parked it and the check engine light came on. I am going to go see what it is, but please if you can. Please Help me! BTW the smoke is white..

Re: Need HELP Quick!
White smoke is typically coolant, if it has a sweet smell to it, that's your source most likely.
If it's blueish/white and a more burnt smell it's more likely oil.
Both of the above can be caused by a variety of things.

Sorry to hear about your problems! Hopefully you did not pay too much for your car...
White smoke: most likely a head gasket problem; white/blue smoke could be a turbo seal, bad rings, valve(s)... there are ways to test cheaply... NEED DETAILS!
Good luck!
