My audi is making me broke

My audi is making me broke
Ok. So I have a 99 Audi A4 1.8t.
Bought 2 years ago for $10,000.
I have to be honest, great car. Love it. But it is seriously making me broke!
I'm a university student and I spent my hard earned money on a excellent condition a4. But much after the repairs, supreme gas, mods, and what not, my bank account is legit at $4.84
I'm living pay check by pay check now. How sad.
That being said, I'm still not going to sell this car. Love it to death.
Looking back at it, with all the money spent on this car, I could've got a way newer car. But hey, what do you know.
Who's on the same boat as me?

Re: My audi is making me broke
Same boat. Fell in love with my car. Oops.
Seriously though, these forums have saved me thousands already. A few months after getting my car, I was charged $1200 for a control arm job. Realizing that I would be broke VERY quickly, I decided to learn how to do things myself. Before owning this car, I didn't even change my own oil. Thanks to everyone on this board however, and DIY articles one can find with a little searching, I've learned a massive amount, and now do most of my own maintenance.
So although I'm still spending a lot of money (Audi parts are expensive, goodness) I'm learning a lot, and becoming even MORE emotionally attached, now that I've spent so much time in and around this car.
Expensive, but worth the look on people's face when they hear you drive an Audi, or see you pull up in one.

Re: My audi is making me broke
I have a 2000 wagon and won't trade it for anything, even though I just had a flex hose, wheel bearing and now that wheel rotor is thudding when I brake.
Does anyone have a recommendation on tires? I need to get mine replaced, need something with decent mileage. I drive at least 550 miles a week, 90% highway through rain, sleet, snow and sun. Just like the mail.
