Re: Looking for a decent mechanic in East GTA
Front pads, OE or equivilent(TRW, Pagid) $90/set
Front Rotors, German $90/each
Labour 1.5 hours $111
Sure, you can toss some $20 Chinese rotors at it, and a set of $25 Wagner pads... ...but then, you get what you pay for
well... I drive an "Old Audi", that's why I'm looking at some labor cost-savings ...if I could have afforded a brand new one, I probably wouldn't have been on a tight budget...
I guess I'm still looking for that 1 man, small indy shop, type of guy, that used to work for an auto repair shop (preferably Audi/VW) and decided to make a buck on his own... (it could be a long wait though.. )...
Thx for the prompt response though, I'll check them out

Re: Looking for a decent mechanic in East GTA
OE type pads are great for high dust, low noise, everyday type driving - if you're looking for something with more bite, you need to be ready for the possibility of noise. There is always a tradeoff - low dust, low noise, high grip pads do not exist

Re: Looking for a decent mechanic in East GTA
Well, $111 is better than $240 ! (maybe I wasn't explicit, CT quoted me $240 just for the labor !)
Do Corrolla's come with only 2 rings on the front?

Re: Looking for a decent mechanic in East GTA
Hey heraty_a4, they would've been OE or better, less the $$ of OE pads. Should you feel they're not up to snuff, drop us a line to get resolved - we like our clients happy
