Did I get an alright deal?

Did I get an alright deal?
I'm from Canada, just bought a 2001 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro last month.
Car has:
- Sport Suspension
- Tiptronic
- Sport Seats
Only had 45,000 KM at the time of purchase, I paid 15,200 for it. Just wondering if I got an alright deal, and if not, what I should have paid for it (it was a Private Sale). Thanks.

Re: Did I get an alright deal?
cars are expensive in Ottawa.
You could get a newer model from Toronto in 14000-17000 range
2004 AUDI A4 1.8T QUATTRO "PREMIUM PKG" (Quatro)
2004 AUDI A4 1.8 TURBO ( Non-Quatro)

Listen you can never pay too much for the right used car. Even tho another one thats newer with less KM may look like a better deal, you are always far better off getting a car from the original owner privately where you can get the history on the car, see how the person is with the car and get a feel for it. That will tell you 10x more then buying from a dealership where they don't know squat about the history.
The history and previous owner is the most important part of a car bar none. If it's going to be a huge money pit to you will quickly be decided by the previous owners care and attitude.
When I bought my Porsche, the guy kept it in a heated garage open to his house, he also owned a Ferrari 328 and drove the cars only with his shoes off. Needless to say he was **** about the care of his car. It's has been great and the small things wrong with the car he knew and point out, and nothing has been any different for 3 years I have owned it now. I had to drive from Aurora to Kingston (3.5 hrs) to look at it the first time then again to pick it up, but I will tell you that it was worth it.
So if your happy and comfortable with the car and you feel the price was right, then you got a good deal.

Re: Did I get an alright deal?
Aight awesome, and yeah it definitely was good to buy private. The guy was a 28 year old whose room-mate just left to India, and left him his Jetta. So that's why he got rid of the A4.
I've had it for well over a month now, and I absolutely love this car! I just bought some new rims for it, 18" Sakata 5 Hyper Silvers that I'm gonna put on for the summer, so I'm mad pumped about that. I'll get some pics up soon, although the good ones will come once I get those new wheels installed

Hey Will!
The first rule of buying second hand is to never try to outguess yourself!
If you are happy with the way it "went down" and you enjoy what you have bought... if you wake up the next day thinking about the deal and you smile, that is all that matters: IT WAS A GOOD DEAL to you!
Yeah, if it matters any: I think you got a great deal!

Re: Did I get an alright deal?
I have gotten in that vicious cycle of second guessing myself on previus cars. It sucks, and it seems like every noise and rattle makes you wonder even more.
As i have gotten older i realized that even if i paid more thant he next guy, but i got what I wanted, then who cares
There are some great deals to be had out there
