Chip question
I don't want to start a debate REVO or APR, I have both here in Vancouver. I am thinking going with stage 1 and both of them have stock, 91, 93 programs. Now:
1. If I set 91 but fill at Chevron (92 octane) or 93 but fill 94, how will it affect the car?
2. Don't have much money to spend now, the car is 2001 1.8T (AWM engine), all stock, so getting a stage 1 chip - what hardware upgrades are required, or, what is likely to fail (anyone with AWM ?) after boosting the car? Mine is @ 80k right now, new timing belt.
Thanks
Nick

Re: Chip question
1. if you fill a higher octane then the program you are running, nothing will happen. car will run fine. you can not put in 87 and run 91 though.
2.for just the stage one chip, you dont need to do anything. The only things that MAY fail are your stock DV unless you already have the 710N and your coilpacks unless you have already changed thouse to the type R. That is only a posibility, not a promise that they will fail.

Re: Chip question
it will be the last digit on the serial code. They are the more recent version of coil packs from Audi. To be honest, you should go buy 2 from the dealership just to have in the trunk. regardless of being chipped or not they still blow.
