Check engine Light..not working..

Re: Check engine Light..not working..
When a code initially comes up the CEL will come on but it can turn itself off if the problem is just sporadic or after a few cycles. The code will be stored though and when you scan it you can still see what was wrong.
What were the codes? did they come up after the timing belt service or before?

Ok so i just did 2 checks,
Checked that the n75 valve clicked.. while the engine was runnin i unpluged it and pluged it back in and hear it click so its gotta be workin..
Then the second, took the MAF plug off drove it, drove like it did b4, plugged it back in drove it again the same thing...

16486 can also be a boost leak, you check all the hoses to make sure you don't have a small hole that could be throwing the code?
17964 = MAF either defective or more likely dirty (especially if using a K&N filter). Try cleaning it with electrical contact cleaner and see if that fixes it after clearing the code.
