air conditioner
Hi all,
I have been driving 2001 A4 since last September and it now hits 134K. When I bought the car, my dealer said the gas for air conditioner (?) leaked and asked me to check up/fix the air conditioner before summer comes. Is there anyone who could suggest me where to go to see and, if needed, fix the air conditioner? If you do not mind, could you please estimate how much it might cost, too? (I am now tight on my budget.)
Thank you.

Re: air conditioner
Open the hood and at the top, left there should be a small black **** on a silver metal tube. It just screws off. Look inside and that switch in there might be broken. That is where the AC (R32) leaked out. Hopefully you can replace just that. I am not sure though.
To recharge the AC system it is about $100 - $200. You can also get it filled up in the US for cheaper since they have more lax AC laws.
A new Audi AC unit is about $1000 plus about two hours labour to install.
