1999 Audi a4 1.8t Q hazard/signal light trouble.
I have a 1999 A4 1.8t quattro. The other day I triggered my signal and only got a flicker of light. The switch/button on the car is the rectangular one without the fuses inside it. I have been trying to locate the relay fuse but it's it very difficult without the outline. Can anyone help? I have some lotuses I can upload too.

The problem isn't where to get the part but what part to get and where do I place it at? Pretty much, what am I replacing exactly.

Re: 1999 Audi a4 1.8t Q hazard/signal light trouble.
very simple fix, i just did this myself.
all B5 A4's (and other VW/Audi) seem to have this issue.
the turn signal will either flicker on and off when engaged, or not work at all, or work intermittently.
the fix is right in front of your eyes. the turn signal relay is part of the hazard switch unit in the middle of your dash (for me between stupid f&^%ing excuse for a cup holder and the fog light buttons)
to replace, go see your friendly neighbourhood parts dept and get the part (i think i paid $72).
then remove the trim piece. what i did was slide a kitchen knife under each bottom corner and undo the clip. the whole unit slides in and out straight.
*BE CAREFUL, YOU MAY CHIP YOUR TRIM PIECE*
then just take some pliers, take the whole thing out, unhook the electrical connection, and slide everything back in.
total time 5 minutes.
thanks to Turn Signals not Blinking

Re: 1999 Audi a4 1.8t Q hazard/signal light trouble.
I know this is 9 years too late for you, but for others who may be wondering.
If both you turn signal and hazard are not working then do what kustom_quattro said. But if the hazard works, but the turn signal does not, as was my case, then:
It is the relay #267 in the upper left hand corner. Note that it is a 4 pin relay where nearly all replacement modules you will find are 3 pin and they won't work. So make sure you get the right one. If this is not your main car then you should pull out the relay module before you order so you can then make sure it has 4 pins that line up in the same direction. After much searching I found one that works on Pelican Parts it is a VEMO brand part #V15-71-0017-INT. It was only $9.50. I am dumbfounded as to why so many parts places sell a 3 pin relay saying it will work for you car when it won't.
