Post pic(s) of the ballast receptacle. Maybe a little bit of trimming and the VVME ballast could fit. I have a friend with a B6 A4 and she trimmed the little slits in the receptacle and after fiddling with it, made the ballast fit like it was factory equipped! Not sure if hers is an OEM headlight though so I don't know if yours could be trimmed.

I had an H7 HID bought from and installed at my local Audi shop. It was supposed to be an HID kit specific for the A4. After 18 months one of the ballasts crapped out. I thought that by buying a kit through my shop It would be of a better quality since it cost me almost $130.00. In the past 7 years I've installed 3 HID kits that were Ebay specials. They weren't anything special per-say, but they've all been performing flawlessly for many years.
I see the H7 55W VVME kits on Ebay are still around the $60.00 range. However, I've found another H7 HID kit here - http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Xenon-HID-Lig...item4162e2ca87 for $43.00 CDN. At this point I'm a bit disillusioned about brand name HID kits as I've had perfect service/reliability from the so-called no-name brands for almost 6 years.
Your thoughts?
