Your advice on finding an RS6
Hi everyone, I am new to the forum but have been reading a great deal from this site.
For the last couple of months I have been searching for an RS6 including the obvious sites like Autotrader and eBay Motors. I've also been researching as much as I can on the car.
I am wondering if anyone could provide some advice on finding a well cared for RS6 and advice on finding a reliable expert mechanic for the RS6 engine (for both an initial inspection on a prospective purchase and ongoing maintenance).
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Re: Your advice on finding an RS6
I found mine in the US and had it imported up. I used a fellow named Sergio Silva and he helped with the import and getting it ready for Canadian roads. He was also able to offer me an aftermarket warranty for a very reasonable price. I take my car to Oakville audi as I'm not sure there are many smaller shops that know much about the RS6. Love the car!!!

Re: Your advice on finding an RS6
my advice would be to keep aside $10,000 for maintenance. The RS6 is awesome...but they were $100,000-130,000 when they were new. THat's not a mistake...they're amazing cars and very complex
While they're $30,000 now (or less) I would mentally prepare to pay $40,000 for a good one (price of car + price of maintenance/problems likely to crop up or already be present).
I always ask why we (enthusastic Audi folks) don't buy these cars more often. They're so special.
Bakes, have I seen your RS6 around Burlington? Still stock looking? What Grey..>Daytona?

Re: Your advice on finding an RS6
I'm around Burlington a lot but live just north in the country side. Daytona grey but not stock. Previous owner made front lower spoilers and put hood vents in to aid cooling. he also modified the rear by adding a diffuser look. I've purchase after market rims. Car is on coilovers and has engine mods. Not really stock. Love the car. I would have challenged your comment about keeping 10k aside for maintenance but I've just had to have the transmission overhauled. Luckily covered under my warranty or it would have been north of 6k. Still love the car!!!!
