A tire shop identified the 'bad' one, and did their best to balance it. To reduce the effect, we put the bad wheel on the back of the car. You can try swapping front to back on yours to see if it solves it.

I have an extra set of wheels for my B7 S4, so if you want you can come by and we can throw them on your car to see if there's any vibration. Then you'll know to start looking at your rotors or something.

Also, we should scan your car for any codes. Could be a bunch of things, like a bad engine mount or something really weird.

p.s. before we go any further...post some pics of this car!

I agree, it's just commonly (wrongly) referred to as warped rotors. I apologize for continuing to convey this inaccurate statement

so new wheels and tires and still vibrating? that's frigging weird.

contact JH Motorsports in California. They're the world leaders in the B6/7 S4 platform (which your 2008 is one of) and if anyone has an idea, it will be them.

V8@jhmotorsports.com

tell them I referred you to them and that you promise to buy their parts

Hey thanks,

Think that may be the next step. So I have brought the car to Downtown Audi they to are having a challenge diagnosing the problem. They recommended 2 new front control arms which were replaced under warranty. However this didn't fix the problem. Going back this week hopefully they are going to keep trying to resolve the issue. As the car is under warranty all the costs are covered. Feeling vibration through pedals and steering wheel, however the rear passenger floor behind me is shaking. Im thinking that it could be a bent drive shaft which Im going to recommend to them as well. Now the other night I cold started my car and turned the AC on full blast and noticed that the car was heavily vibrating, not sure if they all do this. Or if maybe the problem is the motor mount as a friend told me cold starting the car and turning the AC full blast will show if the motor mounts are gone not sure if this maybe is the issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

There's a place in Ottawa called "Alloy Wheel Repair" and they have a pretty cool machine that applies pressure at various points on wheels to straighten them.

Had the same issue on my G35 before I sold it, and they took care of all vibration problems. It's anywhere from $50-$150 per wheel and it's guaranteed for 1 year.

If that's indeed the problem. Maybe there's a place like that around your area you can check out?

this is the weirdest thing. vibration in a car feels horrible, and one of the hallmarks of this car is that it's smoothe as hell.

I don't know what to tell you

did you ever contact JHM as I suggested? v8@jhmotorsports.com is a great source for help.

You said that when you started the car cold and put on the A/C full blast it was vibrating while standing still? Have the dealership check all your cylinders and engine out. It seems that you have done all you can regarding the suspension, wheels and tires so go to the next level of ruling out being the engine and drive shafts.

Keep us posted, this is really interesting.
