Audi Sport Diff without NAVI MMI

Audi Sport Diff without NAVI MMI
Considering ordering an S4 but I'm unclear about how the sport diff would be without the MMI. It would appear that you can order it without the Navi but would that only give you the 3 buttons for selecting comfort, auto and sport? What extra parameters can u adjust with the MMI that couldn't do otherwise? Also, is the suspension lower with the Audi Drive Select's adjustable suspension over the standard suspension? Is the adjustablity worth the price of getting the Navi?

ADS and non ADS suspension is the same ride height, only dampening (or damping) is adjustable with ADS.
As for the other features, they're the same as an ADS equipped car with comfort, auto and dynamic settings. Individual though is ADS equipped only, although there is a rumour that you can VAGCOM you're preferred individual settings...
The Sport Diff isn't really a function of ADS at all - you either have it or you don't. You can still add the sport diff to a Premium+ model and skip the Nav/ADS that comes with the Prestige package.
Its value or worth is only for you to decide, and will depend on how much you want to spend, whether you value Nav or not, etc etc. Personally I didn't order Nav because I already have a GPS and wasn't interested in the other options such as side-assist, but there are many to whom it's must-have equipment. I do however have the Sport-diff - to me the car without it wasn't an option.

Ok. So, without the MMI, how are the three modes of auto, comfort and sport selected? Using the standard three buttons on the center console as I've seen for cars with the ADS? If I'm buying a used one, how can a car has the sport diff or not?

Yes buttons, on the trans tunnel center console south of the shifter, here:
You still get an MMI, just without the Nav and a few other functions.
The only way to tell if you have the sport diff is to either drive it hard enough to feel the torque vectoring (which is amazing), or get under the car and look at the diff. Here's what it looks like. Look for the circled part to differentiate it from a normal rear diff, and you can't miss the dark orange plastic tab:

Re: Audi Sport Diff without NAVI MMI
I have the sport diff and recommend it. Same was purchased without ads. I am able to adjust from auto comfort and dynamic. I keep it in dynamic 100% of the time as steering firms up, throttle response much quicker. I drive mine as a manual 100% of time, however in auto the shifts are much quicker in dynamic. Any other questions refer them to your sales person.
