Default 19"summer high performance tires

I wanted to know if any B8 owners have tried a different summer performance tire other than OEM Pirelli.
I have looked at the following:
Hankook Vent us V12
Michelin Pilot Sport

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I tried the Hankook. They were okay. The Perelli's wore pretty quick. I'm now on a set of Continentals which I really like. They aren't cheap.

Which Continentals are you using on your car? How much per tire?

I bought a set of new original equipment 19" rims with tires for $1,800. Tires alone are $1,800. I had the rims powder coated. Not sure which model of Conti but they info would be available on tire rack. I'm too lazy to walk outside to check. Conti's are great have them on my GTI as well.

Due to a mixup I have the Pirellis on my B8 A4 right now and I have to say I hate them. I can see them being good for really nice roads but they tend to wander the minute you hit a rough patch or groove in the road which is really annoying.

I miss the Dunlop Sports I had on originally, they were fantastic in comparison.

What did you pay for your Hankook"s? They are a lot cheaper than the tires that come with this car. I had on 245's as I had a narrower 19" previously. The stock tires are about $5-600 each. They last if your lucky 35-40,000 km.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do

That website is the best place to buy tires. You can get a set shipped to Canada for ~900 before discounts. (That is including their insurance program which I've heard good things about).
