S line package worth it? 2012 A3

Re: S line package worth it? 2012 A3
I'm just happy that the front bumper doesn't scrape curbes on driveways like my old G35 did!
The s-line front bumper tends to hide the fact that it sits higher with the lip at the bottom though...

Re: S line package worth it? 2012 A3
audi changes their packages every year, its so confusing
when i bought mine in 2009, on top of sline there was the titanium package (wheels, blackout parts) about 1800$ and then the sports package (magnetic ride, sport seats and a different set of 18's) for 2600$.
Aren't those "rotor" wheels the new titanium package wheels? I personnally don't like them.

So what would have been $5k in options, was $1800 on top of the already reduced base price.
But when I was in recently to get some rock chips fixed on my hood (They were there when I picked it up... not happy at all about it), he said that the 18" rotor wheels aren't available anymore due to "supply chain issues" and that the sport seats were now an option and not included in the sline package.
One thing I did notice, is i'm not sure if the "leather seats" are actually real leather.. you don't get that smell that you get like walking into a leather shop (comarison to a bmw or benz). Maybe the real leathers are only offered on S models or higher end audis....

Re: S line package worth it? 2012 A3
I think Audi is "cheaping out" on their leather seats in recent model years - it's now usually just the seating surfaces meaning the middle area; the bolsters are now often vinyl;e easy way to tell is push down with one finger on whatever panel you are testing; leather will show small creases around the depression where you are pushing, vinyl will be all smooth.

Re: S line package worth it? 2012 A3
still nice!
does your seats have S Line logo on the seats too? and white stitching and sline logo on the steering wheel ?
I'm just curious because I haven't seen my car when I ordered it.

ah-
24 hours feel like 100 hours to me now.
it sucks living on the westcoast at times like this.
I just sold my car the day before yesterday so I don't have a car until I take delivery of this A3.
dealer told me the last week of August. ugh.
What do you guys recommend for lowering springs?
I used to have H&R sport springs and I kinda want to try different brand like Eibach.
no coilovers tho. The last time I had coilovers on my GTI, I had the worst warranty experience with the manufacturer.
