Default Ongoing stall problem

Hello,

Been having non stop problems with my 2006 A3. Only happens when I've been driving for about an hour or so with the AC on. When i come to a stop and then take off again, my car "stalls" or looses power like its shutting off and then suddenly kicks in and runs fine until I stop and go again. This only happens after I have been driving around for a few with the AC on. The check engine light comes on temporarily and then shuts off. I keep taking it in but because there is no check engine light on they are unable to get a hard code. I'm loosing it here!

Hey,

I never the issue with my Audi, but had the same issue with a Dodge car i once owned and seems like camshaft sensor. Have the car scanned for the error codes.

Mine did the same. It was actually the sensor on the HPFP. I thought it would be the pump itself or the cam follower but it was just the sensor that was bad. Very simple repair and cheap as well.
