Re: How much saved from the MSRP???
I just got my A3 (2.0) 2008 for $39.5k with Sline, Ipod, roof in Edmonton
I should have checked this forum before committing to it. The guy said I have gotten $1,500 rebate but now I am not so sure
Oh well, I should enjoy it next Friday when I get it.
Nice forum by the way

Re: How much saved from the MSRP???
Just this past October- as we were gathering numbers from VW/Audi/Volvo dealers for replacement for our 99 1.8t wagon (passat) we were lucky enough to come across a 2007 Audi A3 2.0t DSG- Ibis white/beige leather(color combo i wanted) It had Premium Package- multi trip comp, Leather, Power driver seat, Storage package (underseats) aluminum trim, 5spoke 17s, ipod adapter, fogs- only thing i didnt get that i initially wanted was Opensky and techpackage(xenons/bluetooth)- but i can live without it! The car was driven home at a little over $28k (base was 26,095).
Here's where it got interesting, the car had to be sold "used" with only **214 miles**with full warranty- because the car was ordered/purchased via dealer online service. But when the purchaserpicked up the car- he traded it in for a bigger audi- because it was too small/short for the guy (6'5", go figure u would think you would check the car out before forking out $$$, obviuosly the guy can afford it).
$349.22/ month- 48 month (lease-to-own- perhaps).
SLine grill and Sline sport suspension will be going up soon (got it for total $100 plus shipping from two diff A3 drivers).
e
SORRY- by the way this are all USdollars..

Re: How much saved from the MSRP???
Bought one on Easter Sunday from Richmond Audi (BC) 2008 White A3 2.0T Steptronic, S-Line, Open Sky, IPOD, Audi Care Maintance Package for $707 per month, 36 months 0.6% Lease, residual value $17640 + 12% taxes. Zero Down, No Security Deposite, 1st month Lease Payment waived, Total is $44631.8 (GST, PST, Govt Levy, Frieght & Prep, Lease Admin Fee, Documentation Fee all included)
So before tax will be $39850, not sure is a good deal or not.

Re: How much saved from the MSRP???
Just buy it in the US... It starts at $6400 less and the more options you add the more that difference appears to become (using the web builders). Also as someone else mentioned US dealers are much more willing to take $$$ off MSRP than Canadian ones, making for even more savings. A3 is allowable/importable on the RIV list and while you do have to pay 6.1% duty on top of the US price as the car is made in Germany, and a few hundred in RIV fees, it still works out better no matter how you slice it.
Audi still honours the US warranty fully in Canada (even the maintenance package from what I hear, unlike BMW) so you really don't lose anything there either.

Re: How much saved from the MSRP???
I did the comparison at well when I decide to buy it. If yout have the cash to pay it in full amount, buying in the US is a good idea; however, since I don't have $45000 sitting in the bank, I took the 0.6% lease rate for 36 months incentive from Audi Canada. With this incentive, my borrowing cost is only $550, and I don't think Audi US will give Canadian such a deal.
