I got told that if this channel is unavailable the Instrument Cluster will communicate over CAN to find out what is installed in the car.

Hey , any chance you could help me out I just swapped from concert radio to an RSNE i bought the fakra god antenna and it all works but my factory AUX and Bluetooth don't work . I have a 2009 A3 8P. I picked up the 32 pin connector and I followed your thread but the 3 wires you re pin into the 32 connector is that just for aux ? How do I get my Bluetooth to work ? When I remove the RSNE unit there is the main harness then there is a small blue connector that doesn't connect to anything I'm assuming that is my Bluetooth ? My car came factory with it so I'm just trying to figure out if that blue connector is for my Bluetooth?

It's not that hard to install, however, you will need some time if you are first timer.

The only couple issues I am having, the place of GPS antenna being inside of dash, getting weak signal (but working perfectly fine on the ground level, just not working well underground)

and, I need Vag-Com change in order to get my aux in working properly.

If you find a shop who can connect the GPS antenna to sharks fin, and vag-com fixes, I will go with you for sure.
Let me know.

Im in the same boat I swapped to RSNE in my A3 and maps and cluster work perfectly fine but Bluetooth and aux no go , I bought the 32 pin from Audi , I'm just trying to figure out how to get Bluetooth to work cause I have 1 blue harness not connected to anything and I'm thinking that's my Bluetooth ?the main harness all connector positions are full ... I'm located in Mississauga , if you ever find a fix let me know 👌🏻

Hey Pete, your post on installing the RNS to the A3 8P has been the best I've seen anywhere.
I have one question:
In the pic where you are explaining the 32 pin connect ( which I am doing presently for my aux under the armrest also ), I can see the fakra double pin connection in the background. Did you simply plug that into the double slot fakra on the Navigation Plus...and all was well??
