Valve Cover Gasket leak B5 S4 HELP!
So I pick up on Friday a B5 S4 that I have had my eye on for some time now. It has 180k silver manual. All service records up to 160k. He is selling for $6500 with Safety. New brakes all around, new suspension both upper and lower control arms all around, new clutch. I brought it for an inspection after driving it for about half an hour (drove fantastic), having owned one before I had a good idea of what to look for.
I made sure I was with the mechanic while it was up on the lift checking it myself too. The car is very clean and well maintained but the only issue was that there was an oil leak coming from the driver side valve cover gasket, the mechanic thought it was the turbo but the oil was leaking down onto the turbo from the valve cover making it look worse.
Apparently it is a very common issue with these cars and I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and where they went and how much it cost to get this replaced. Also if this would affect anything else down the road? There is a DIY thread on another forum but I don't have the space or tools to do this myself. Also would I be losing boost from this?
Any advice or knowledge would be awesome! Thanks guys! (and girls?)

Re: Valve Cover Gasket leak B5 S4 HELP!
Fix it yourself, easy to do, buy new VC gaskets, seal the corners with a small dab of RTV, Permatex Ultra Black hi-temp silicone. Do the Caps at the same time. The cam seals are easier to do when doing the timing belt
