Good input though, that's an interesting resource. Certainly doesn't seem like guys are standardized. It's funny how many people think a proper stage III setup is stage III + because they have tuning fuelling and cooling addressed, as well as exhaust. That's just stage III. It feels like stage III + relative to most of the 'stage III' cars out there because so many K04 cars are owned by young people who can't afford the massive bills of going stage III proper. THe 'standard' is being ratcheted down.

I define the stages as

stock or stock tune = stage 0

tuned with K03 turbos = stage 1

tuned + other performance mods like downpipes, catback, intercooler upgrade etc. = stage 2. Basically if you have K03s, you're stage 2. Stage 2+ doesn't really exist to me.

Once you go big turbo (K04, RS6, frankenturbos, Tials) you're stage 3...but if you don't do stage 3 tuning and fuelling, that's commonly referred to stage 3 minus. I call it ghetto stage 3 Just kidding.

Once you go built motor you're stage 3+

Comparing a Stg3 S4 or Stg3 Audi cannot be compared to any other stg whatever other car... as any other car will have different stages for different parts

So basically our stg3 will differ from a Stg3 BMW or stg3 STI or EVO...
